In August of 2020, Addison Rae was named by Forbes magazine as the highest-earning TikToker around the globe. In addition, she is among the most popular users on TikTok. Addison Rae's popularity on TikTok is extended to other platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. Her first appearance as performer when she dropped the single Obsessed in 2021. The track peaked at number 4 on the New Zealand Hot Singles chart and was the sixth-most trending video on YouTube on the day of it's release. Addison Rae has also received nominations at prestigious ceremonies such as People's Choice Awards MTV Movie & TV Awards as well as Kids Choice Awards.
